What's In the SIMUL8 2007 Service Pack

This page details all changes, enhancements and fixes to SIMUL8 2007 since it was first shipped. The build numbers relate to both SIMUL8 Professional and SIMUL8 Standard, some comments may only apply to one of the products.

If you think you have found a bug in SIMUL8 that isn't mentioned in the list below as fixed please notify us of the problem.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1501

• Added click right options to the "summary" panel in Track Changes.
• Allow text expressions as well as the original text variables to create references to "whole sheet" parameters of VL Calls.
• Index by group label now visible on routing out dialog.
• Views help options now takes you directly to help file.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1360

• Added right click option on Visual Logic tabs to clear all tabs
• Added button on left hand side dock area to allow it to be folded.
• Work Center results dialog no longer closes when chart created this was inconsistent with other results dialog.
• Error message now displayed when to try to do recursive call with parameters in Visual Logic
• Data graphic font no longer lost when Display+ used.
• Charts no longer crash when move from old style to new in preferences
• Amended error message for sql commands in SIMUL8 Viewer to be more informative.
• Sub-window icon is now displayed in SIMUL8 Viewer
• Customer properties values are now viewable in QuickView
• Quickview and Explorer buttons no longer move on resize
• Double click in vl editor now opens formula editor by default, preferenc option to change to alt double click.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1300

• Routing out dialogs are now all resizable.
• Chart menu available in SIMUL8 Viewer so user can switch charts on and off
• New Visual Logic command 'Set Default Display Plus Text Mode'
• Protection added to prevent user deleting a local variable or parameter in use.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1297

• Adds short cut to clear all debug points in Visual Logic. Can access via Tools / Visual Logic /Services / Debug Options or using shortcut shift+ctrl+F9
• New menu option and short cut to disable debug points.
• Background execution in scenario runner now off by default.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1286

• SIMUL8 Explorer updates faster with less flickering
• Data Graphics transparency and scrolling issue resolved

Build 1280 was first shipping SIMUL8 Release 2007
