Networks
SIMUL8 Professional 2008 can be installed onto, and run from, networked drives. But it does not run concurrently on multiple clients. See our Networked Concurrent License for this functionality.
Large Simulations
SIMUL8 Professional 2008 has been shown to be faster than many other top simulation packages. However you should be aware that most simulation studies involve some period of making "long runs" of simulations to get a measure of the long term performance and variability of the operation.
The faster the PC, the faster these results will be obtained. SIMUL8 uses disk space during simulation runs to store results information. A large simulation, running for a long period, will require additional disk space (more than recommended above).
Software Compatibility
SIMUL8 Professional 2008 2008 is certified compatible with VBA in Excel, Access, Word and Visio.
SIMUL8 Professional 2008 can connect to Microsoft Visio and read Visio files. To read Visio *.VDX files (the standard in Visio 2002 and above) Visio is not required. To read Visio *.VSD files (versions before 2002) Visio 5.0 or above must be installed.
